Overview

Ensures the construction of the systems is completed in accordance with prescribed information prior to commencement of pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure tests for all test packages.Supervises the hydro testing (hydrostatic and pneumatic), bolt tightening and handle reports on the completion of tests and to supervise line cleaning after hydro test. Liaises with the Completions Engineer or Construction Engineer to ensure completeness, punch lists preparation, and readiness for hydro tests activities.


What You Will Do

  1. Supervises the hydro testing (hydrostatic and pneumatic), bolt tightening and handle reports on the completion of tests and to supervise line cleaning after hydro test. Liaises with the Completions Engineer or Construction Engineer to ensure completeness, punch lists preparation, and readiness for hydro tests activities.
  2. The Test Supervisor is responsible to ensure the construction of the systems is completed in accordance with prescribed information prior to commencement of pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure tests for all test packages.
  3. Prepare test reports of the activities performed and submits to the Completions Engineer and QAQC Coordinator.
  4. Interfaces with QAQC for appropriate release note prior to commencement of test.
  5. Coordinates the preparation of test activity to ensure all deficiencies punch listed are closed out prior to testing.
  6. Prepares testing procedures in accordance with relevant standards and client specifications.
  7. Generate list of materials, tools and equipment required for testing, and verifies all procured tools and equipment are in accordance to requisite specification prior to acceptance.
  8. Coordinates and monitors test activities (hydrostatic and pneumatic), line cleaning, purging and flushing and reports on the completion of the activities.
  9. Coordinates bolt tightening and torquing activities and ensures appropriate tools and equipment are utilized.
  10. Demonstrate a professional work ethic and actively participate as a member of the Discipline Workface Planning Team.
  11. Interfaces with the Discipline Planning Teams to understand the construction schedule.
  12. Assesses the impact of inefficiencies on the successful completion of planned activities and adjust the plan as required.

 

 


What we Require

  1. Trade Test Level 3 (Mechanical fittings, Hydrotest or Instrumentation) or OND in Mechanical Engineering, Instrumentation or any other relevant engineering discipline.
  2. Minimum 7 years experience in Oil & Gas with minimum 2 years as Hydrotest/Mechanical Foreman and 5 years as Hydrotest and Bolt Tightening technician.
  3. Hands on experience in all type of Testing, Flushing, Pigging
  4. Hands on experience in bolt tightening, torquing, and tensioning.
  5. Has ability to interpret and work with drawings (P & ID, Iso’s)
  6. Shall optimize resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of the works and ensures work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment and materials.
  7. Ability to quantify materials requirement from Isometric BOQ, Raise Material Request for Hydro Testing and follow-up with store Dept. for the delivery.
    Ability to interpret and utilize test packs and procedures.
  8. Ability to interface with other team leads for support where required.
  9. Ability to provide on the job training for technicians.
    Well acquainted with Safety Plan, Task Risk Assessment, Permit to Work
