Course Objective:
On completion of the course, the delegates will be able to:

  • Perform a daily preoperational inspection and documentation.
  • Define the titles “Crane Operator” and “Rigger” in line with each individual responsibility
  • Interpret load rating charts
  • Determine load weights
  • Use basic rigging skills Use a load angle indicator
  • Demonstrate knowledge of dynamic and static lifts.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of safety for wind limitations.

    Course Description:
    This course is designed to equip participants with the relevant knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate offshore cranes in compliance with BS 7121-11 requirement.  Refreshers are required every four years. Physical qualification evaluation (vision, depth perception, etc) is included in this course.
    Hands-on evaluation is performed by instructor during the course presentation. This course is designed to run at client’s locations.

    Target Audience:
    The course is specially designed for offshore crane operators

    Pre-requisite:
    Delegates for this course must have completed their stage 2 course and have experience working with offshore cranes.

    Course Duration: 2 days

    Certification: Successful delegates receive a LEEA Certificate of Completion
