Overview

The Mechanical completions Engineer  ensure the construction of the systems is completed in accordance with prescribed information prior to pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure tests being carried out for all test packages.Monitors the Commissioning and pre-commissioning of systems, Hydro testing, pneumatic testing, leak testing, drying, swabbing, dewatering, cleaning, flooding, gauging, intelligent pigging, caliper survey, Nitrogen preservation, decommissioning activities. Coordinates system close out and handover to client.


What You Will Do

 

  1. Monitors the Commissioning and pre-commissioning of systems, Hydro testing, pneumatic testing, leak testing, drying, swabbing, dewatering, cleaning, flooding, gauging, intelligent pigging, calliper survey, Nitrogen preservation, decommissioning activities. Coordinates system close out and handover to client.
  2. The Mechanical completions Engineer is responsible to ensure the construction of the systems is completed in accordance with prescribed information prior to pneumatic and hydrostatic pressure tests being carried out for all test packages.
  3. Prepare technical report, lists of outstanding items on a punch list submits it for construction to carry out the required test.
  4. Monitors the hydrotesting (hydrostatic and pneumatic) and handle reports on the completion of tests and to supervise line cleaning after hydro test.
  5. Responsible for the examination of systems to ensure completeness, punch lists preparation, and readiness for hydro tests activities.
  6. Interfaces with equipment, piping, instrumentation, electrical inspectors, civil/structural inspectors, field engineer and other field superintendent before proceeding for hydro tests of systems.
  7. Interfaces with the client’s Quality Assurance representative for his presence at the test.
  8. Reviews the documentation relevant to the systems and ensures the systems are constructed in accordance with the prescribed information – drawings, specifications and vendor information.
  9. Coordinates with Project Manager and supervise the preparation of test activity to ensure all deficiencies are identified and punch lists are prepared
  10. When the systems are to be tested, ensures the systems limits are identified, that necessary test equipment is in place and reviews completion of punch list items to ensure hydro tests may proceed.
  11. Coordinates and monitors the hydro tests and reports on the completion of hydro tests.
  12. Demonstrate a professional work ethic and actively participate as a member of the Discipline Workface Planning Team.
  13. Interfaces with the Discipline Planning Teams to understand the construction schedule.
  14. Assesses the impact of inefficiencies on the successful completion of planned activities and adjust the plan as required.

What we Require

  1. Bachelors Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or any other relevant engineering discipline.
  2. Minimum 8 years experience and 5 years in Oil & Gas as Hydrotest/Piping Supervisor or QC/Piping Engineer.
    Coordinated all types of Testing, Flushing, Pigging etc.
  3. Must have experience in Contractor side.
  4. Proficient in the use and interpretation of drawings (P & ID, Iso’s).
  5. Shall optimize resources (manpower, equipment, and materials) to ensure efficient and timely completion of the works and ensures work crews are properly supplied with tools, equipment and materials.
  6. Has ability to quantify materials requirement from Isometric BOQ, Raise Material Request for Hydro Testing and follow-up with store Dept. for the delivery.
  7. Has Ability to prepare test packs and procedures.
  8. Ability to interface with client and provide job performance assurance.
  9. Ability to encourage, motivate and inspire team members to perform optimally.
