PPE INSPECTION COURSE OVERVIEW
Course Overview:
Persons attending this course will be provided with necessary information and knowledge required as a competent inspector of Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
Training covers legislation, standards, duties and responsibilities, equipment marking, key documentation and resources, record keeping, traceability, types of inspections, equipment examination of textile and metal-ware testing, storage and disposal requirements.
On completion of training successful candidates will be able to implement a programme of periodic inspections for equipment used during work at height such as harnesses, lanyards, slings, karabiners, helmets, ropes etc
Course Objectives:
At the end of the course, delegates will understand;
Current health and safety legislation, approved codes of practice and relevant equipment standards.
Compliance with equipment manufacturers guidelines and to inspect their equipment at intervals set out in current legislation Pre-use inspection of items of safety harnesses and fall protection equipment Thorough Examination of safety harnesses and fall protection equipment

This course is designed for all who are involved in the use of working at height equipment in stores, rope access technicians [L1-L3], emergency response persons, supervisors etc.
